چکیده
To assess the feasibility of proposed launch schedules for the Space Shuttle, we have developed a simulation model of the flow of activities comprising Shuttle turnaround processing. Considering queueing delays caused by the limited capacity of ground facilities, the model estimates flight starting dates needed to meet a given launch schedule with a specified level of confidence. The results of an extensive sensitivity analysis indicate that the currently projected schedules are optimistic and that the turnaround time will substantially exceed the current goal of 28 days. © 1982 Simulation Councils Inc.. Numerical Analysis of the Primer Location Effect on Ground Vibration Caused by Blasting
Ground vibration is one of the undesirable results of blasting operations. Different methods have been proposed to predict and control ground vibration that is caused by blasting. These methods can be classified as laboratory studies, fieldwork and numerical modeling. Among these methods, numerical modeling is the one which saves time and cuts costs since it takes into account the basic princip...

متن کاملSimulations Technologies in the Mission Operational Environment on Behalf Of: Society for Modeling and Simulation International (scs) Simulations Technologies in the Mission Operational Environment
This paper proposes a methodotogy for applying simulation technology to the monitoring and control of operations, focusing on the use of intelligent agents. These agents monitor the course of the real operation and compare it with the near-real-time simulation of that operation. When these agents detect significant differences between the planned operation and the real operation, they explore t...
